Phase 2 of the study is being completed (the RCT and evaluation of the trial). We are currently evaluating the resources used in the trial and updating them. This will occur in the second half of 2026.
We will make available, open source (free), resources we used in the trial. In the section below, you can see what resources will be made available in due course. Once available, they will be able to be downloaded.
HAPP Trial website
The HAPP trial website contains two interfaces, one for clinician and one for patients. In each section is a range of resources available. Examples include:
In the healthcare worker section, information on why preventing pnumonia is important, vidoes on performing oral care, risk assessment, podcast and much more.
In the patient resources section, there is patient friendly material on the importance of oral care and how to reduce the risk of pnuemonia while in hospital. These have been developed with consumers.
